Anja Harrer is a 20-year-old Austrian photographer who graduated in 2024 from HTBLVA Graz Ortweinschule, specializing in Photography and MultimediaArt. She works with both digital and analog techniques and is constantly seeking new ways to develop her art and push her creative boundaries.
Through an intensive exploration of the depiction of bodies and their significance in art, she examines how the human body can be portrayed not only as a physical entity but also as a vessel for emotions and identity. She is particularly interested in the connection between architecture and corporeality – how spaces and forms influence the perception of the body and vice versa. By playing with perspective, shapes, and structures, she offers a new view of architecture and seeks to redefine the relationship between humans and their environment.
It is important to Anja that her work captivates the viewer and encourages reflection. Her pieces challenge people to see things from a different perspective and to discover new ways of looking at the world.
Her work has already been featured in various exhibitions. She participated in FOMO Graz in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and took part in the Biennale of Styrian Photographic Art in 2024. Part of her diploma project "Unveil" was exhibited at Schaumbad in Graz in 2024 and is currently part of the Photo Graz Selection VI touring exhibition, which will be shown internationally from 2025 to 2026.
